1. A perusal of record shows that on earlier occasion when this case was listed, i.e. on 29.05.2026, the petitioner was unrepresented, and therefore, a direction was issued to the Registry to notify the date, fixed in the present petition, to the learned counsel for the petitioner. As per report of Registry, the date has been duly notify, however despite that the petitioner is unrepresented today.
2. On earlier occasion also, i.e. on 28.01.2026, the petitioner was unrepresented. Thus, it is apparent that the petitioner is not interested in pursuing the present petition.

3. Otherwise also, the learned State counsel has submitted that representation of the petitioner has already been decided and in the enquiry allegations made by the petitioner have been found to be false. As per learned State counsel, in order to protect life and liberty of the petitioner, adequate directions have been issued to the SHO Police Station Mattewal.
4. In view of above, the present petition is hereby dismissed, in default.
