JUSTICE MOHAMMAD NAWAZ ORAL ORDER The proceedings/further investigation in Crime No.133/2024 of Bellanduru Police Station, Bengaluru City registered on a complaint lodged by respondent No.2 herein against the petitioner, for the offence punishable under Section 506, 504, 323 and 354 of IPC, is under challenge in this petition. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:41803 WP No. 10582 of 2025 2. The petitioner as well as respondent No.2 are present before the Court. A joint memo has been filed, signed by them, along with separate affidavits. 3. It is stated that petitioner and respondent No.2 have entered into a compromise and subsequently petitioner has married respondent No.2 on 24.08.2025. The parties present before the Court would submit that after the marriage they are residing together. Respondent No.2 has submitted that she is not interested to pursue the matter any further and she has no objection to quash the proceedings initiated by her against the petitioner. 4. Joint memo and the affidavits are placed on record. 5. The dispute is purely private in nature. In view of the settlement between the petitioner and respondent No.2/defacto complainant, no purpose will be served in allowing the proceedings to continue. The interest of - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:41803 WP No. 10582 of 2025 justice will be met if the criminal proceeding initiated against the petitioner is quashed. Hence, the following: ORDER Petition is allowed. The entire proceeding in Crime No.133/2024 of Bellanduru Police Station registered against the petitioner, pending on the file 41st Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Bengaluru is quashed.
