After notice was issued to the respondent, an attempt was made to settle the matter and when the matter came up for hearing on 23.09.2025, the learned counsel for respondent submitted that the respondent is intending to settle the matter with the applicant and is also willing to file an affidavit of undertaking. 3. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, it is brought to the notice of this Court that the respondent has filed a counter affidavit. As per the counter affidavit, the respondent has agreed to settle the total sum of Rs.10,50,000/- towards principal and a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- towards interest. The sum of Rs.10,50,000/- has been agreed to be paid in four tranches starting from November, 2025 onwards and ending with February, 2026. While paying the last installment in February 2026, the interest component of Rs.1,50,000/- will also be paid by the respondent to the applicant. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Arb Appln No. 1047 of 2025 4.
