04/17.07.2025 The present writ petition has been filed for issuance of direction upon the respondent no. 1 – the Secretary, Department of Transport, Government of Jharkhand, Ranchi for modification of Annexure-4 to the extent that the owner of the bus so far as the petitioner is concerned, was not granted exemption under Section 15(1) read with Section 23 of the Jharkhand Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 2001 only on the ground that the petitioner has no permit.

Mr. Bhanu Pratap, AC to GA-IV appearing on behalf of the respondents, submits that if the petitioner represents the respondent no. 1 on the present issue, an appropriate decision in accordance with law will be taken by the said respondent within a timeframe.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the nature of prayer made in the writ petition, without entering into the merit of the case, the petitioner is given liberty to prefer a representation on the present issue before the respondent no. 1. On receipt of the said representation, the respondent no. 1,

after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, shall take an appropriate decision in accordance with law within three months from the date of filing of the representation.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of with aforesaid liberty and direction.
