Hon'ble Ram Manohar Narayan Mishra,J. 1. It seems that passport of the petitioner is not being renewed on account of an adverse police verification report. 2. The case of the petitioner is that there were two criminal cases and in one of the criminal cases, police after investigation did not find any evidence against the petitioner and therefore, no charge sheet was submitted against him. The other matter related to a matrimonial dispute and the proceedings of the said case were quashed by this Court on basis of agreement between the petitioner and his wife in Criminal Misc. Application U/S 482 No. 12399 of 2021 and therefore, now there is no impediment in renewing the passport. 3. On query made by the Court, as to whether the said facts have been placed by the petitioner before the Regional Passport Officer, learned counsel for the petitioner is unable to give any satisfactory reply. 4. In the facts and circumstances, noted above, we dispose of the instant petition with liberty to the petitioner to bring the aforesaid facts in the notice of respondent no. 3 by means of a fresh representation along with supporting evidence and in which event, respondent no. 3 shall consider the same and take appropriate decision on the application of the petitioner for renewal of the passport within two weeks from the date any representation is filed.
