2025:UHC:4819-DB SL. No. Date Office Notes, reports, orders or proceedings or directions and Registrar’s order with Signatures COURT’S OR JUDGE’S ORDERS WPSB/332/2021 Hon’ble Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J. Hon’ble Subhash Upadhyay, J. Mr. Rakesh Kumar Bhadola, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. Puran Singh Bisht, Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State. 2. Petitioner was appointed as Ayurvedic Medical Officer and he retired as Incharge Deputy Director, Department of AYUSH and AYUSH Education on 31.03.2008. 3. According to petitioner, he was entitled to benefit of promotional pay scale in terms of order dated 24.10.2005 w.e.f. 22.11.1989, however, the said benefit was not given to him. Thus feeling aggrieved, petitioner has approached this Court, seeking following relief:- “Issue a writ, direction or order in the nature of mandamus to the respondents to take necessary action to ensure payment of total amount of arrears of increased pay scale sanctioned to the petitioner with applicable interest thereon expeditiously.” 4. Learned State Counsel submits that since petitioner has sought a writ of mandamus, therefore he may be permitted to make representation to the competent authority. 5. We, accordingly, dispose of the writ petition with liberty to petitioner to make 2025:UHC:4819-DB representation to the competent authority, seeking benefit of promotional pay scale. If he makes such representation within three weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken within six months thereafter. (Subhash Upadhyay, J.) (Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J.) 11.06.2025 Mahinder/
