JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned AGA takes notice for the respondent. 2. The petitioner is seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent - Tahsildar, Bantwal Taluk, Dakshina Kannada, to consider removal of the endorsement made in column No.11 of the RTC pertaining to Sy.No.136/2A4, belonging to the petitioner. The petitioner is also aggrieved of the impugned endorsement at Annexure C dated 24.01.2025, rejecting such a request made by him. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner stood as a surety to one Sri. Vasanth, S/o. Neelappa Pujari and others in a criminal case bearing - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:33736 WP No. 21429 of 2025 S.C.No.19/2016 for a sum of `4,00,000/-, during the bail application being considered at the hands of the Sessions Court. However, the case in S.C.No.19/2016 was disposed of on 20.12.2018, acquitting the accused Nos.4 and 5, in whose favour the petitioner had stood as surety. 4. Learned counsel submits that the Tahsildar has issued the impugned endorsement at Annexure C, stating that the endorsement made in column No.11 is in terms of the orders passed by the learned Sessions Judge in S.C.NO.19/2016. 5. The writ petition stands disposed of, reserving liberty to the petitioner to furnish a copy of the order passed by the learned Sessions Judge in S.C.No.19/2016 dated 20.12.2018. The Tahsildar is directed to go through the judgment and if it is found that the case has been dismissed in so far as the accused Nos.4 and 5, for whom the petitioner had stood as a surety, then, appropriate orders shall be passed by the Tahsildar, removing the endorsement from column No.11 of the RTC.
