The petitioner for the past 19 years is conducting wholesale business in vegetables and fruits at Koyambedu market under the name and style of SVS vegetables at Shop No.D-101, Periyar Wholesale Vegetable market complex, Koyambedu, Chennai. While so, the petitioner on coming to know that some shops were kept vacant in the Koyambedu wholesale fruit market complex, submitted a representation on 09.05.2025, to the respondents seeking issuance of license, allotment or sale of the vacant shops. Since the respondents failed to act on the petitioner's representation, the petitioner filed the above writ petition for the aforesaid relief. 4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record. 5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for by the writ petitioner, this Court is of the view that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation.
