– BEFORE – HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE MR. VIJAY BISHNOI HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE KARDAK ETE 13.05.2025 (Vijay Bishnoi, CJ) This petition is filed by the petitioners being aggrieved with the action of the State Government, whereby it has made mandatory for the petitioners to clear the TET examination for the purpose of appointment on the post of Assistant Teachers in High and Higher Secondary Schools in the State of Assam.
Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that since the Rules, by which the above provision was made, has already been repealed and new Rules have come into force and, in the meantime, the services of the petitioners have also been regularized, nothing remains for adjudication in this writ petition. However, so far as the remaining grievance of
Page No.# 4/4 the petitioners is concerned, such as, pensionary benefits and other claims, the petitioners have already approached this Court and their claim is under consideration.
Learned counsel has therefore, submitted that this writ petition may be disposed of in the above terms.
Learned counsel for the respondents has no objection, if the writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. In such circumstance, this writ petition is disposed of. However, disposal of the writ petition will not affect the merit of the case, which has been filed by the petitioners claiming pensionary benefits and other benefits and is pending consideration before this Court.
