The following prayer has been made in the present petition: "to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents No.2 to consider the reply/explanation submitted by the petitioner dated 26.06.2025 and to issue passport to the petitioner after obtaining the crime record of the petitioner from the respondents No.3 & 4 so that the petitioner may be able to go to abroad to earn his livelihood." 3. The passport has not been issued to the petitioner apparently on account of pendency of some criminal case against the petitioner. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is not named in the said case. He has already submitted his explanation on 26.06.2025. 4. Learned counsel, Shri Ashish Kumar Mishra, appearing for the Passport Officer states that the Passport Officer will take decision considering the stand taken in the reply dated 26.06.2025. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No. 3 to take decision within three weeks from the date of communication of the instant order along with copy of reply dated 26.06.2025.
