Mahantesh Shettar, learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the respondent-State. 2. In this writ petition, the petitioners are assailing the order of the respondents in entering the name of the petitioners in History Sheet Register in accordance with Annexures-A and B respectively. 3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that, the respondent No.2 has illegally opened the Rowdy Sheet against the petitioners, and further contended that as on today, only one criminal case is pending against the petitioners. Accordingly, sought for quashing the proceedings at Annexures- A and B to the writ petition. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:44328 WP No. 4096 of 2022 4. Per contra, Sri. Mahantesh Shettar, learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the respondent-State, sought to justify the action of the respondents, on the ground that to maintain the law and order in the vicinity, in which the petitioners are residing certain preventive action has to be taken and therefore, sought for dismissal of the writ petition. 5. In the light of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, and taking into consideration the proceedings at Annexures-A and B concerned, I am of the view that, there is only one case pending before the competent court against the petitioners and as such the petitioners be directed to approach the respondents by way of representation, seeking deletion of their names from the History Sheet. If such a representation is made within two weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, the same shall be considered by respondents in - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:44328 WP No. 4096 of 2022 accordance with law within an outer limit of three months, thereafter.
