For Petitioner : Mr.J.Saravanavel For Respondents : Mr.K.M.D.Muhilan, Government Advocate (Criminal Side) ORDER The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the CBCID to investigate the encounter killings of the petitioner's son Vinoth and one Ramesh on 01.08.2023 at Karnaipuducherry Arungal Road, Chengalpattu District in accordance with law and to file periodic investigation report before this Court within a time that may be stipulated by this Court till the charge sheet is filed before the Competent Court. 2. While pending this Writ Petition, this Court by order dated 19.04.2024 directed the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu to conduct the enquiry in Crime No.331 of 2023, not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). As directed by this Court, the https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.26160 of 2023 DSP conducted the investigation in Crime No.331 of 2023 and closed the same as Further Action Dropped. In fact, the Referred Charge Sheet (RCS) was also served to the petitioner. 3. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that so far, no notice was served on the petitioner. Therefore, the Investigation Officer is directed to serve the closed RCS and also serve the closure report which has been filed before Judicial Magistrate No.I, Chengalpattu within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of the order. On receipt of the same, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the same in a manner known to law. 4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. Connected Miscellaneous Petitions are also closed.
