GP FOR FINANCE PLANNING The Court made the following: 2 THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE NYAPATHY VIJAY WRIT PETITION No.4626 OF 2025 ORDER: The present Writ Petition is filed seeking for the following relief: “to declare the action of the Respondents in withholding the payments of pending amounts of Rs 17, 30, 488/- even after finalizing the bills payable to the petitioner in relation to the works executed by the Petitioner as bad, illegal, arbitrary, improper, unjust and against the Article 21 of constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to pay the amounts of Rs 17,30,488/- with interest at 24% per annum”. 2. The case of the Petitioner is that he is a Civil Contractor. The contract works listed below were granted to the petitioner by the respondents vide Agreement No.70/EEI/2023-2024, dated 21.09.2022: “1) Providing CC Roads and Drains at Sambamurthy Nagar, 1st Street connecting to Jyothula Colony (1. Ramalaya Temple Street D.No.16-33-27/1), 2) Church Street 16-33-27/A to 16-33-31/A); 3) Jyothula Colony D.No.16-33-78 to 16-33-78 to 16- 33-39/6B, and 4) Thottammavari Street D.No.16-31-32/1 to 16-32-38 at 6B Secretariat (GGMP)”. 3 3. The contention of the Petitioner is that after execution of the said work, a final bill was prepared for a sum of Rs.17,30,488/- as per the sanctioned orders and sent the same to Respondent No.2 for payment. As the payment of the said amount has not been made by the respondents, the Petitioner has approached this Court by way of the present Writ Petition. 4. Sri M. Shanukha Teja, learned counsel, representing Sri M. Krishna Rao, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Respondent Nos. 2 and 3, submits that the bills are being examined by the respondents as per standard procedures. 5. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the Respondent Nos. 2 and 3, it would be appropriate to dispose of the Writ Petition with a direction to the respondent No.2 to examine the bills submitted by the Petitioner, verify the works and accordingly consider for payment of the same, within a period of 12 weeks from today. 6. With the above observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
