(Oral) By means of the instant petition, the petitioners seek the following reliefs:- “I. a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant the selection grade and promotional pay scale to the petitioners by counting their service from their initial date of appointment including the service rendered by them before the institution was grant-in-aid. II. a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to pay the arrears of difference of selection grade and promotional pay scale to the petitioners. III. a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus, which this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper on the basis of the facts and circumstances of the case. IV. Award the cost of the petition to the petitioners.” 2. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the matter is squarely covered by the judgment dated 27.03.2017, passed by this Court in WPSS No.1955 of 2015, Munendra Singh Rana and others Vs. State of Uttarakhand and others, and connected cases. He submits that, in fact, on 01.07.2025, this 2 Court in WPSS No.1048 of 2025, Sri Ram Singh Chuphal and others Vs. State of Uttarakhand and others, has already held that this kind of issue is covered by the principle of law, as laid down by this Court in the case of Munendra Singh Rana (supra). 4. Learned State Counsel would submit that according to instructions, a Committee has been constituted at Government level pursuant to the judgment dated 27.03.2017, passed by this Court, in the case of Munendra Singh Rana (supra). 5. In fact, similar controversy was decided by this Court in the case of Sri Ram Singh Chuphal (supra). In an identical issue, this Court has held that the controversy is squarely covered, therefore, it may be decided accordingly. 6. Since, the matter is covered, instant petition is decided in terms of the judgment dated 27.03.2017, passed by this Court WPSS No.1955 of 2015, Munendra Singh Rana and others Vs.
