The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Torpa P.S. Case No. 70/2024, for the offences registered under Sections 325, 317(5), 299, 111, 3(5) & 61(2) of the B.N.S., 2023, Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, and Sections 12(i)(ii)(iii) & 13 of the Jharkhand Bovine Animal (Prohibition of Slaughter) Act, pending in the Court of learned S.D.J.M., Khunti. 3. On 06.12.2024, Torpa police intercepted a truck bearing registration no. BR21G-0307 from Torpa-Khunti Main Road, Torpa. On search, 18 cattle were found loaded in the said vehicle. 4. It was submitted that though the petitioner is named in the F.I.R. but he was not apprehended at the place of occurrence. It was further submitted that name of the petitioner has transpired in confession of co- accused. 5. In view of the submissions made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned S.D.J.M., Khunti in connection with Torpa P.S.
