Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if, at this stage, the instant petition praying for issuance of direction to the respondents to release the retiral benefits, be treated as a representation and the same be decided within time bound manner.

3. On the asking of the Court, Mr. Puru Jarewal, DAG, Punjab, accpets notice on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 3-State and waives service. He does not oppose the prayer, as made by the learned cousnel for the petitioner.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner and without commenting anything on merits, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent(s)/competent authority to treat the instant petition as representation and decide the same within eight weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. In case, the petitioner is held entitled for the benefit, the same be also disbursed to him, as per rules, as expeditiously as possible.
