Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record. 3. The petitioner was elected as a Councilor to the 6th Ward of the Edaikazhli Nadu Town Panchayat, Chengalpattu District. On 15.09.2025, as per the Government Order, the road repairing works were carried out on the Panaiyur Chinnakuppam area and the petitioner, who is being the Councilor, supervising the said works. At that point of time, the respondents 5 to 11 herein came to the spot and threatened the petitioner and disturbed his duty. Therefore, the petitioner lodged a complaint on 17.09.2025 before the 4th respondent herein. 4. On submission made by the learned counsel appearing on either side, it is revealed that on receipt of complaint from the petitioner dated 17.09.2025, the 4th respondent/Police conducted enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, after issuance of summons to the petitioner and respondents 5 to 11 herein. During the enquiry, the petitioner and respondents 5 to 11 herein entered into compromise on 23.09.2025 and also issued communication to the 4th respondent to close the complaint since the entire issues have been settled between the parties. Once the matter has been compromised between the parties, the second complaint for the very same set of allegations cannot be considered for any purpose. In view of the above, the direction sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition cannot be considered. 5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition (Criminal) is dismissed.
