JUSTICE RAJNESH OSWAL, JUDGE O R D E R 23.07.2025 Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petition at hand is being filed in public interest and is pending since 2017. And various status reports/ compliance reports have been filed pursuant to the orders passed by this Court. It is urged that in the wake of the affidavit furnished by the Commissioner/ Secretary, to Government, Social Welfare Department, dated March 10, 2025, nothing substantive survives in the matter. Therefore, he submits that the proceedings in the present petitions be closed. However, if the petitioners are still aggrieved or there is any fresh cause of action, they be granted liberty to re-approach this Court by filing a fresh petition. That being so, the petition is, accordingly, disposed of in terms of the statement made by the learned counsel for the petitioners with the liberty prayed for.
