Against the order dated 16.02.2025 passed by the District Magistrate, Deoria rejecting the application for grant of fire-arm license an appeal was filed being Appeal/Case No.491 of 2025 (Computerised Case No.C202505000000491) before the respondent no.2-Commissioner, Gorakhpur Region, Gorakhpur, which is pending consideration. 2. It is argued by counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is Aspiring Shooter and arms are required for the purpose of sports hence a direction be issued to respondent no.2 to decide the aforesaid appeal expeditiously. 3. On the other hand it is argued by learned Standing Counsel that respondent no.2 will take a decision in the matter expeditiously. 4. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the records. 5. With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, present writ petition is being disposed of at the admission stage itself. 6. In the facts and circumstances of the case, present petition is disposed of finally directing the respondent no.2 to take a final decision on the aforesaid appeal strictly in accordance with law most expeditiously and positively within a period of six weeks from today. 7.
