JUDGMENT
The loan availed by the petitioner from the Kerala Bank, Kilikkoloor Branch fell in arrears. The Bank initiated revenue recovery proceedings. Ext.P2 is the notice issued by the Tahsildar, Revenue Recovery, requesting the petitioner to clear off the dues by participating in the loan Adalat. The petitioner has filed this writ petition for a direction to the 3rd respondent to permit him to pay the loan amount in instalments or to grant facility for One Time Settlement.
2. When the writ petition came up for
consideration today, Adv. P.C. Sasidharan, the learned Standing Counsel for the Bank, submitted that, as on 24.02.2025, an amount of Rs.18,48,269/- is outstanding in the loan account of the petitioner and the petitioner can

be permitted to pay the said amount in reasonable installments.
3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner may be permitted to pay the outstanding amount in 20 equal monthly installments.
4. In the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ petition is disposed of with the following directions:- a) The petitioner shall pay the outstanding amount of Rs.18,48,269/- along with accrued interest and applicable charges in 20 equal monthly
instalments
commencing
from
03.05.2025. b) If the petitioner defaults payment of any of the instalments, it will be open to the 3rd respondent to proceed against him in
