The petitioner states that he submitted an application under Section 6(1) of the Right to Information Act, 2005, on 08.05.2024 to the Public Information Officer, Block Development Officer, Gummidipoondi Circle, Thiruvallur District, seeking certain information. As no information was furnished within the prescribed time, the petitioner preferred a first appeal under Section 19(1) of the Act on 27.06.2024. The grievance of the petitioner is that the first respondent has not taken any action on the second appeal. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the first respondent submitted that the second appeal filed by the petitioner was returned for rectification of certain defects. Since the petitioner has not rectified the defects, no further action has been taken. It is further submitted that, if the petitioner rectifies the defects, the second appeal will be considered and disposed of in accordance with law. 5. Recording the aforesaid submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to rectify the defects pointed out in the second appeal filed before the first respondent. Upon such rectification, the first respondent shall consider the second appeal and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of rectification of the defects.
