JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned Additional Government Advocate accepts notice for all the respondents. 2. It is the contention of the petitioners that they have filed applications in Form No.57 in the year 2019. The petitioners are cultivating land bearing Sy.No.11 measuring 4 acres each of Layadasarahalli Village, Javagondanahalli Hobli, Hiriyur Taluk, Chitradurga District. It is contended that the petitioners were not called upon to - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:37542 WP No. 27057 of 2025 pay the kimath. However, the petitioners are ready and willing to pay the requisite kimath. In this regard, the petitioners have given representations dated 03.03.2025 and 05.03.2025 at Annexures-E and F to the respondent- Tahsildar, Hiriyur Taluk. The petitioners are seeking a writ of mandamus directing respondent-Tahsildar, to consider their representations to receive the premium/kimath and for the issuance of saguvali chit. 3. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and having perused the petition papers, this Court finds that respondent-Tahsildar, Hiriyur Taluk, is duty bound to consider the representations given by the petitioners for issuance of Saguvali Chit. Needless to observe that the Tahsildar may call upon the petitioners to furnish any required information, verify the same from the records, and if the Tahsildar finds that the petitioners were in fact granted of lands in their favour, he shall call upon the petitioners to pay the kimath. As and when the petitioners pay the requisite kimath, the respondent- - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:37542 WP No. 27057 of 2025 Tahsildar shall proceed to issue the Saguvali Chit in accordance with law. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Ordered accordingly.
