2025:JHHC:11568 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI A.B.A. No. 2398 of 2025 Santosh Yadav, son of Dharam Mahto, resident of village Chikanadih, P.O Chikanadih, P.S. Devri District Giridih, Jharkhand ..... Petitioner(s). Versus The State of Jharkhand … Opp. Party(s). ------ CORAM : SRI ANANDA SEN, J. ------ For the Petitioner(s) : Mr. Md. Yasir Arafat, Advocate. For the State : Mr. Tarun Kumar, A.P.P …..... 05/17.04.2025 This is an application filed by the petitioner praying for grant of anticipatory bail in terms of Sections 482 and 484 of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, as the petitioner has been allegedly implicated in a criminal case registered under Section(s) 326(g) 109/3(5) of B.N.S. in connection with Giridih (T) P.S. Case No. 271 of 2024, pending in the Court of learned CJM, Giridih. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner(s) and learned APP for the State at length and had gone through the documents, annexed along with this application. Opportunity was given to the State to oppose the bail, which the State availed and opposed. There is direct allegation against this petitioner that he along with three to five persons, with intention to kill the informant, sprinkled kerosene oil upon her and lit the fire. Considering the direct allegation against this petitioner, I am not inclined to allow this anticipatory bail application. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner, above named, is rejected.
