JUSTICE M.I.ARUN ORAL ORDER The petitioners have been charged for the offences punishable under Sections 323, 498A, 504, 149 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (for short, 'the IPC') and under - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:46175 CRL.P No. 13920 of 2023 Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 (for short, 'the DP Act'). The matter arises out of the matrimonial dispute between petitioner No.7 and respondent No.2 herein, who are husband and wife. 2. Today all the petitioners and respondent No.2- complainant are present before the Court and are duly identified by their respective advocates. It is submitted that the parties have compromised the dispute and respondent No.2 does not intend to prosecute the case against the petitioners herein. 3. It is seen that the allegations made against the petitioners basically originate from the matrimonial dispute between petitioner No.7 and respondent No.2 and closing the same will only facilitate both of them to live peacefully without animosity. No heinous crimes are alleged against the petitioners and under the given peculiar facts and circumstances of the case, I am of the opinion that the interest of justice requires quashing of the proceedings - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:46175 CRL.P No. 13920 of 2023 against the petitioners herein as desired by the contesting parties. 4. The learned High Court Government Pleader has no objection for the same. 5. Hence the following: ORDER i. The Criminal Petition is hereby allowed. ii. The proceedings in C.C.No.5795/2022, pending on the file of Additional Civil Judge (Jr.Dn) and JMFC Court, Doddaballapura, Bangalore Rural District, stand quashed.
