JUSTICE SACHIN SHANKAR MAGADUM ORAL ORDER This petition is filed by the petitioners - accused Nos.1 and 2 seeking quashing of the proceedings pending in Crime No.0264/2025 registered by Doddaballapura Police Station for the offence punishable under Sections 126(2), 3(5), 351(2), 351(3) and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 on the file of the Principal Civil Judge and JMFC, Doddaballapura, Bengaluru. 2. Today, accused Nos.1 and 2 along with respondent No.2 are present before this Court. A compounding application has been filed under Section 359(8) read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. On being queried, respondent No.2, who is personally present, acknowledges that, through the intervention of elders and well-wishers, both - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:37505 CRL.P No. 13328 of 2025 parties have amicably resolved their dispute. Consequently, he expresses his intention to withdraw all allegations. 3. In view of the complainant’s presence and his unequivocal statement that the dispute has been amicably settled, a request is made to quash the pending proceedings. Considering that the offences alleged are compoundable in law, this Court is inclined to exercise its jurisdiction to quash the proceedings. 4. In light of the above amicable settlement, the Court passes the following: ORDER (i) The criminal petition is allowed.
