Vide order dated 06.05.2025 passed by the District Magistrate, Jhansi/ Respondent No. 3 by which the application for the grant of Fire Arm License was cancelled is under challenge. 2. After some arguments, counsel for the petitioner confined his prayer and prayed that the petitioner be permitted to file an appeal against the aforesaid order as provided under Section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959. 3. In this view of the matter and also in the interest of justice, the present writ petition is disposed of finally permitting the petitioner to file a statutory appeal before the Respondent No.3, District Magistrate, Jhansi within a period of three weeks from today. If it is so, the respondent no. 3 will take a decision on the same strictly in accordance with law, expeditiously and preferably within a period of two months thereafter, unless there is no legal impediment. 4. It is made clear that the respondent No. 3 will not dismissed the appeal of the petitioner only on the ground of laches.
