Mr. Anubhav Mishra, learned advocate holding the brief appears on behalf of petitioner and submits, under challenge is order dated 26th April, 2025 passed by respondent no.2 (the District Magistrate), rejecting his client's application for character certificate. He submits, there was allegation, registration of FIR and a police case in respect of minor offence. There be direction upon said respondent to issue the certificate. 2. He relies on view taken on order dated 28th May, 2024 by a Division Bench at Lucknow in a batch of cases, leading case being Writ-C no. 798 of 2024 (Anil Kumar Vs. State of U.P. and three others). He submits, the certificate be issued in terms of the guidelines laid down in the order. 3. Mr. Sharad Chandra Upadhyay, learned advocate, Standing Counsel appears on behalf of State and on query submits, he does not have instructions of any steps taken to challenge the view/order. 4. Respondent no.2 will deal with petitioner's application in line with said order dated 28th May, 2024 (supra), as expeditiously as possible.
