Hon'ble Ram Manohar Narayan Mishra,J. 1. The petitioner has prayed for a writ of mandamus commanding respondent no. 2 to grant passport of him in pursuance of his application dated 23.6.2024. The case of the petitioner is that in Case Crime No. 334 of 2020, police has not submitted charge- sheet against the petitioner but only against certain other persons and, therefore, there is no impediment in grant of the passport. 2. Sri Vijay Chandra, advocate, appearing for the Regional Passport Officer, has placed on record the instructions received from the said respondent. According to same, the application was filed by Rahul Kumar Yadav not Rahul Yadav. It is also stated that a show cause notice was issued to the petitioner on 22.7.2024 but no clarification has been received from him. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner admits that the petitioner has not replied to the show cause notice dated 22.7.2024. 4. In view of the above, we dispose of the instant petition with liberty to the petitioner to submit his response to the notice dated 22.7.2024 and in which event, the Regional Passport Officer shall decide the application of the petitioner in accordance with law within next four weeks. .
