In this writ petition prayers are not very specific since the petitioner was considered for promotion from the post of Executive Engineer to Superintending Engineer, however, decision was kept in a sealed cover since admittedly petitioner was facing disciplinary proceedings. 3. It is now on record that recently vide order dated 28.6.2025, petitioner has been exonerated and the prayer ought to have been made to open the sealed cover, but the same is missing in the prayer clause of this writ petition, still in the interest of justice that petitioner is going to retire on 31.8.2025, therefore, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction that respondents may open the sealed cover within a short period and act in accordance with law.
