Mr. Pradeep Kumar Chauhan, learned counsel for the Applicant. 2. Ms. Sakshi Singh, learned counsel appearing for the Respondents. 3. Respondent No. 1- Govind Singh, has appeared through video conferencing and submitted that he is unable to come to terms with the client-advocate relationship concerning the ongoing legal proceedings. 4. Ms. Sakshi Singh, Advocate, submits that Respondent No. 1- Govind Singh has been misbehaving with her. Consequently, she expresses her unwillingness to continue representing him and seeks permission to withdraw the Vakalatnama. 5. Permission is accordingly granted. 6. If Respondent No. 1- Govind Singh, has any grievances in this regard, he shall be at liberty to approach the Bar Council as per law. 7. By means of the present C-528 Application, the Applicant seeks the indulgence of this Court to pass an order for expeditious hearing of the proceedings in Misc. Case No. 01 of 2021 and Misc. Case No. 02 of 2019 (Old No. 56 of 2018), filed under Section 12 of the Domestic Violence Act, 2005, titled as “Smt. Priyanka vs. Govind and Others”, pending before the Court of learned Judicial Magistrate/Ist Additional Civil Judge (J.D.), District Haridwar, in a time- bound manner. 8. It is contended by the learned counsel for the Applicant that the Applicant was married to Respondent No. 1 on 06.12.2014, who is employed with DRDO. It is further 2025:UHC:6444 submitted that soon after the marriage, the Applicant was subjected to cruelty in connection with dowry demands and monetary harassment, which continued until 19.08.2018. Thereafter, the Applicant returned to her parental home and filed a complaint under Section 12 of the Domestic Violence Act, 2005. However, the case has not proceeded further, and therefore, a direction is sought for its expeditious disposal. 9. During the course of arguments, the learned counsel for the Applicant confined his prayer to a limited extent seeking a direction to the learned Court below to expedite the hearing of Misc. Case No. 01 of 2021 and Misc. Case No. 02 of 2019, filed under Section 12 of the Domestic Violence Act, 2005. 10. The prayer appears to be innocuous and reasonable. 11. This Court is of the considered view that the right to speedy justice is a fundamental right of the litigant. 12. Considering the grounds urged in the C-528 Application, the same is hereby disposed of with a request to the Court concerned to make all possible efforts to expedite the hearing and disposal of Misc. Case No. 01 of 2021 and Misc. Case No. 02 of 2019 (Old No. 56 of 2018), under Section 12 of the Domestic Violence Act, 2005, titled as “Smt. Priyanka vs. Govind and Others”, pending before the Court of the learned Judicial Magistrate/Ist Additional Civil Judge (J.D.), District Haridwar, as expeditiously as possible, subject to there being no legal impediment.
