It is not in dispute that the petitioner was elected as the Vice- President of the said Panchayat and that his tenure as Vice-President has since expired. 3. In view of the expiry of the petitioner’s tenure, the relief sought in the writ petition has become infructuous, and nothing survives for further adjudication. 4. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of as having become infructuous. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
