The Petitioner is before this Court for direction to accept the rent and issue rent receipt in favour of the petitioner with respect to the plot of land measuring an area 5.26 acres, situated at Village Khuntadih, Thana No. 1155, appertaining to old Khata No. 40, old Plot Nos. 1566, 1567, 1568, 1569, 1570 and 1572 (new Khata No. 622 and New Plot No. 6048) at Jamshedpur after making necessary correction in the online Jamabandi Register-II in respect of the aforesaid plots. 2. As per the case of the petitioner, the petitioner purchased the said plot of land vide registered sale deed bearing No. 849 dated 05.03.2012. After the said purchase, the name of the petitioner was mutated and Jamabandi was opened in favour of the petitioner and rent was fixed by the order dated 25.05.2012 of the Additional Collector, East Singhbhum, Jamshedpur in Rent Fixation Record No. 02/2005-06 vide order dated 2025:JHHC:15314 2 07.06.2012. Rent was accepted and receipt was issued to the petitioner up- to the year 2012-13. 3. The order was challenged by the Tata Steel Limited in the writ petition before this Court which was decided in favour of the petitioner and attained its finality in the Intra Court Appeal. 4. The main grievance of the petitioner is that despite finality having been attained, the rent is not being accepted and the Online Jamabandi register has not been rectified. The only ground, on which the Online Jamabandi Register-II has not been updated, has been stated in the letter of the Circle Officer dated 27.07.2023 with regard to certain discrepancies. 5. Aggrieved by this, the petitioner filed representation for typographical correction in Online Jamabandi Register-II before the Deputy Commissioner, Jamshedpur on 12.04.2024 which has not been disposed of till date. 6. Learned counsel appearing for the State seeks adjournment to file counter affidavit. 7. From the submission advanced on behalf of the petitioner, it appears that the representation, filed by the petitioner for correction in the Online Jamabandi Register-II, is still pending which has stalled the receipt of rent and issuance of rent receipts. 8. In this view of the matter, the petitioner is directed to file a fresh representation before the Deputy Commissioner, Jamshedpur (respondent no. 2) with relevant papers for necessary correction, as prayed for, in the Online Jambandi Register-II, which will be disposed of by the Deputy Commissioner, Jamshedpur within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the said representation.
