1. This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.
2. Heard Mr. A. Tripathy, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioners and Mr. P.K. Panda, learned Addl. Standing Counsel appearing for the Opp. Parties.
3. The present writ petition has been filed inter alia with the following prayer:-
“On the above premises, the petitioners most humbly prays that this Hon'ble Court be graciously pleased to; i) quash the impugned letter dt.07.01.2025 of OP No.1 under Annexure-11 as well as impugned letter No.39412 dt.30.12.2024 of the OP No.2 under Annexure-6 by holding them as bad, illegal and contrary to law; and thereby ii) direct the opp. parties to forthwith allow promotion to the petitioners to the rank of Section Officer with appropriate posting based on the recommendation of DPC already held from the date of eligibility with grant of all consequential service and monetary benefits;
Page 2 of 2. iii) pass such other order as may be deemed fit and proper in the bonafide interest of justice and fair play; And for which act of your kindness, the petitioners shall as in duty bound, ever pray.”
4. Considering the relief claimed, this Court while disposing the writ petition, permits the Petitioners to move Opp. Party No. 1 for
consideration of their grievance within a period of three (3) weeks hence.
5. It is observed that, if any such application is moved before Opp. Party No. 1 within the aforesaid time period, the said Opp. Party shall do well to take a lawful decision on the same within a further period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of such application and communicate the result of such exercise to the Petitioners.
6. The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of with the aforesaid observation and direction.
