The petitioner has preferred the present petition inter alia with the following prayer:- "(a) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no.2 to sanction him Arms license of NPB Revoler/Pistol No.614000 and Licence No.257/P.S. Utraon, District Prayagraj to the petitioner on account of family heir loom in pursuant application dated 22.11.2024." 2. It is argued by learned Standing counsel appearing for the State-respondents that the respondent no.2- District Collector Prayagraj will take a decision in the matter expeditiously. 3. Heard learned counsel for the parties. 4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, with the consent of the parties, the present petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.2-District Collector Prayagraj to pass appropriate orders to the application of the petitioner, most expeditiously and preferably in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from today.
