When the matter was listed for hearing on 01.07.20206, the counsel for the respondent stated that he has given change of vakalat. Hence, this court directed the Registry to print the name of the respondent in the cause list. Today, despite the name of the respondent is printed in the cause list, there is no representation on behalf of him. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner taking me through the averments in the affidavit filed in support of the transfer miscellaneous petition would state that the petitioner is being prejudiced on account of the long distance that required to be travelled to attend the hearings before the Family Court, Puducherry. The petitioner is a resident of Thiruchirappalli and dependent on her aged parents and hence, she seeks transfer of divorce proceedings initiated by the respondent. 4. I am satisfied that the petitioner has made out sufficient cause for transfer of the proceedings initiated by the respondent and hence, I am inclined to allow this petition. 5. Accordingly, the proceedings in HMOP No.108 of 2025 is withdrawn from the file of Family Court, Puducherry and transferred the same to the file of Family Court, Tiruchirappalli. __________ Page2 of 4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis TR CMP No. 1221 of 2025 6. The Family Court, Puducherry is directed to send the entire records relating to HMOP No.108 of 2025 to the file of Family Court, Tiruchirappalli forthwith. There shall be no order as to costs.
