2. The instant writ petition has been filed praying inter alia praying for the following relief:
"(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents concerned to made the allotment of 10% residential plot in development area to the petitioners under the strength of officer letter/ resolution dated 22/11/1997 as well as agreement/proposal executed by authority concerned (Annexure No.-2) to the writ petition. (ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 2 to decide the representation of petitioner dated 16/07/2025 by speakng order within stipulated time."
3. The aforesaid reliefs are resisted by the learned counsel for the respondents on the ground that the claim for allotment of a 10% residential plot in the development area is highly belated and based on a resolution dated 22.11.1997. It is contended that the writ petition is liable to be dismissed on the ground of delay and laches.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, as learned counsel for the petitioners has confined the prayer to the extent that his representation dated 16.07.2025 may be decided
expeditiously, without entering into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Greater NOIDA Industrial Development Authority to consider and decide the petitioners' aforesaid representation, strictly in accordance with law and after considering the objections raised by the respondents.
