AG CORAM: HON’BLE MR JUSTICE VINOD CHATTERJI KOUL, JUDGE O R D E R 26.05.2025 Contempt proceedings against respondents for disobedience of order dated 13.09.2011 in SWP No. 108/2009, allowing petition, quashing order dated 23.02.2008 and directing respondents to pass appropriate order as warranted under law on petitioner’s claim to retiral benefits, are sought. Respondent have filed statement of facts, therewith is consideration order, mentioning therein that Committee on 10.03.2023, after threadbare discussion of petitioner’s case, came to conclusion that he has rendered countable services w.e.f. 06.12.1968 to 16.04.1983 for pensionary benefits and rest of the period till the petitioner attained superannuation may be treated as dies non and asking Chief Education Officer, Srinagar and DDO concerned to submit his petitioner to the Accountant General Office for further appropriate action. On 03.05.2023, petitioner’s counsel sought time to file response to compliance report but he thereafter never appeared. It seems that petitioner’s grievance stands redressed, otherwise he would have appeared in the matter. In the above backdrop, the proceedings are dropped and contempt petition is closed.
