This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to disburse the family welfare fund to the tune of Rs.5,00,000/- along with the interest to the petitioner based on the representation dated 10.03.2022. 3. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, it is brought to the notice of this Court by Mr.C.Jeganathan, learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents, that the claim made by the petitioner under the Group Insurance Scheme has been forwarded to the 3rd respondent herein and that the same has now been responded to by the 3rd respondent vide letter dated 23.06.2026, pointing out certain defects. In the light of the above, the 2nd respondent is directed to submit the proposal in response to the letter dated 23.06.2026 of the 3rd respondent as expeditiously as possible, and in any event, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Further, the 3rd respondent shall consider the same and release all the eligible amounts to the petitioner towards the Family Welfare Fund, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, within a further period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the proposal from the 2nd respondent. 5. In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of. It is made clear that the claim of the petitioner with regard to interest on the belated payment is left open, and the petitioner is at liberty to agitate the same independently, in accordance with law.
