In this writ petition, the petitioner has sought for the following releifs: a) Issue an order or direction or a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the 3rd - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:29645 WP No. 2557 of 2025 respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13/07/2024 vide Annexure- L and pass an order re-fixing the pay scale of the petitioner, in so far as pay scale of directly recruited Associate Professors in the 3rd respondent University is concerned strictly in adherence to the UGC Regulations 2010 formulated by the 2nd respondent notified on 30/06/2010 vide Annexure-G; (b) Pass such other order or orders, as the petitioner is entitled to in the facts and circumstances of the case, including the costs of the proceedings in the interest of justice and law. 2. The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as an Associate Professor of Veterinary Pharmacology on 20.02.2009. Subsequently, he was promoted as Professor. The grievance of the petitioner is that while he was working as Associate Professor, there was wrong fixation of pay scale. Therefore, he submitted a representation No.3 dated 13.07.2024 to the respondent vide Annexure-L for re-fixing the pay scale. Since no action has been taken on the representation, the petitioner is before this Court. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent No.3-University submits that if this Court grants some - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:29645 WP No. 2557 of 2025 reasonable time, the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law. 4. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of. 5. Respondent No.3, University is directed to consider the representation dated 13.07.2024 submitted by the petitioner vide Annexure-L, in accordance with law and as expeditiously as possible, not later than eight weeks * from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
