Present petition has been filed seeking a direction for providing security to the petitioner on the ground that he is an eye-witness in Sessions Trial No.250 of 2022, under Sections 302, 504, 120B IPC, Police Station Dhoomanganj, District Prayagraj. Counsel for the State-respondents has submitted that in case the petitioner desires security on account of being an eye-witness in a criminal case, he would be required to apply before the committee constituted under the Witness Protection Scheme. Counsel for the petitioner submits that he would move an application before the aforesaid committee and seek his remedy. The writ petition is disposed of.
