ORDER 24.06.2025 The short grievance projected by the petitioner in the instant petition is with regard to the non-issuance of his passport despite lapse of considerable amount of time. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that he will feel satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider his case for issuance of the passport as per the norms. On asking of the Court, Mr. T.M. Shamsi, learned DSGI accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. Mr. T.M. Shamsi, learned DSGI has submitted that the instant matter can be disposed of at this stage, if a week’s time is granted for submission of the CID report and thereafter a further weeks’ time is granted to the authorities for considering the case of the petitioner for issuance of the passport in his favour In view of the above, this Writ petition is disposed of on the following terms:- 1. CID shall submit report with regard to the case of the petitioner for issuance of the passport to the respondent-Passport Officer within a week’s time 2. On receipt of the report from the CID, the respondent-Passport Officer shall consider the case of the petitioner for issuance of the passport in his favour within a week’s time thereafter strictly as per rules.
