Page No.# 2/2 BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE MANISH CHOUDHURY ORDER Date : 05-03-2025 Heard Mr. S. Nath, learned counsel for the petitioners; Mr. S. Dutta, learned Standing Counsel, Panchayat & Rural Development Department for the respondent nos. 1 & 2; and Mr. N. Goswami, learned Junior Government Advocate, Assam for the respondent no. 3. Mr. Nath, learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that though the petitioners have challenged the reservation of constituencies in respect of Ward no. 6 and Ward no. 7 of Namoni Silasuti Gaon Panchayat, due to inadvertence, the relevant notification could not be annexed with the writ petition. He has, therefore, prayed that the petitioners may be allowed to withdraw the writ petition, with liberty to file afresh. Mr. Dutta, learned Standing Counsel, P&RD Department and Mr. Goswami, learned Junior Government Advocate, Assam have submitted that they have no objection to the said prayer. In view of the above submission made by Mr. Nath, learned counsel for the petitioners, the writ petition stands dismissed on withdrawal, with the liberty, as prayed for.
