ORDER:
This contempt case is filed under sections 10 to 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for their willful disobedience to the order dated 14.10.2024 passed in W.P.No.21618 of 2024.
2. Sri B. Sanjaiah Gandhi, learned counsel representing the learned counsel for the respondents No.3 to 5 submitted that five bills for total amount of Rs.24,86,236/- were paid on 17.07.2025 to the petitioner and requested to close the contempt case and placed on record a copy of the written instructions of the Executive Engineer, Drainage Division, Chirala, addressed to the counsel for the respondents No.3 to 5 vide Lr.No.EE/DD/CRL/AB/A1/Court Case/335M, dated 17.07.2025.
3. In reply, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the
order in the writ petition was for payment of Rs.36,66,392/- to the petitioner, whereas the amount paid under the above bills is Rs.24,86,236/-, which is the principal amount and the balance amount is interest payable, but the same was not paid and therefore, liberty may be given to pursue the remedy for payment of the amount of interest independently by the petitioner before appropriate authority and dispose of the contempt case granting the petitioner such liberty.
4. Accordingly, the contempt case is closed giving liberty to the petitioner to pursue the remedy for payment of the amount of interest before appropriate authority as per law, if payable.
As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this contempt case shall stand closed.
