ORAL ORDER The petitioner is before this Court seeking the following prayer:
“(i) issue a writ of mandamus or any other writ, order or direction directing the respondent authorities to consider the letter / representation dated 15-04-2025 (Annexure – D) and pass appropriate
order in accordance with law. (ii) issue any other writ order or direction as this Hon’ble Court deems fit to pass in the circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice.”
2. Heard Sri Vishwanatha R. Hegde, learned counsel for petitioner and Sri S.V.Desai, learned counsel for respondent No.1.
3. The land of the petitioner becomes the subject matter of acquisition by respondent No.2 - National Highway Authority of India. The issue is not with regard to the acquisition. The petitioner claims interest on the compensation from the time when the actual possession was taken and has submitted representation to that effect. The representation having gone

unheeded, he is at the doors of this Court in the subject petition.
4. In the light of the prayer being innocuous, I deem it appropriate to direct respondent Nos.2 and 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass necessary orders in accordance with law.
5. It is made clear that this Court has not pronounced upon the merit of the claim of the petitioner. It is a direction simpliciter to consider the representation of the petitioner, within an outer limit of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the aforesaid directed, the writ petition stands allowed. Ordered accordingly.
