The prayer in writ petition is to issue a writ of mandamus directing respondent Nos. 3 and 4, the Assistant Commissioner, Tarikere Sub-Division and the Tahsildar Tarikere Taluk, to enter the name of the petitioners in the revenue records pursuant to the saguvali - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:37319 WP No. 28240 of 2025 chits issued at Annexures 'C' and 'D' in favour of the petitioners. 3. It is the contention of the petitioners that the land in Sy.No.51 of Shivapura Village, Amruthapura Hobli, Tarikere Taluk, Chikkamagaluru District, measuring an extent of 1 acre 38 guntas have been granted in favour of the petitioners and the premium have been collected, as stated in the saguvali chits. Nevertheless, the revenue entries are not mutated in the name of the petitioners. 4. The writ petition stands disposed of by directing the 4th respondent - Tahisldar, Tarikere Taluk, to verify from the records and find out whether saguvali chits have been issued in favour of the petitioners. If it is true that saguvali chits have already been issued, then Tahsildar shall proceed to enter the name of the petitioners in the revenue records. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:37319 WP No. 28240 of 2025 5.
