(ORAL) CRM-35016-2025 Allowed as prayed for. The additional affidavit of the petitioner in main petition is ordered to be taken on record subject to all just exceptions. Registry is directed to tag the same at appropriate place of the paper book. MAIN CASE This is a petition filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.26 dated 02.07.2024 (Annexure P-1) under Sections 7 and 7A of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018) registered at Police Station Vigilance Bureau, Ludhiana. This Court, vide order dated 22.08.2024, had had stayed the arrest of the petitioner and the State was directed to file its status report. Thereafter, RAJENDER KUMAR 2025.09.08 23:55 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order CRM-M-40567-2024 (O&M) -2- upon filing the status report/reply by the State, this Court, vide order dated 23.10.2024, had directed the petitioner to appear before Investigating Agency and join investigation and in the event of his arrest, he was ordered to be released on ad-interim bail to the satisfaction of Arresting/Investigating Officer, subject to the conditions envisaged under Section 482(2) of the BNSS (erstwhile Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in compliance of the order dated 23.10.2024 passed by this Court, the petitioner has joined and cooperated with the investigation. Learned State Counsel on instructions states that the petitioner has joined the investigation and is not required for custodial interrogation. In view of the statement made by learned State Counsel, the petition is allowed and the interim order dated 23.10.2024 is made absolute. The petitioner shall, however, continue to join investigation, as and when called by the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 482(2) of the BNSS.
