This writ petition has been filed with the following prayer: "i. issue an appropriate order, direction or writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the learned Sub Divisional Officer, Tehsil Gola, District Gorakhpur (Respondent No. 2) to take appropriate decision on the petitioner's application dated 23.01.2025 (Annexure 2) in view of the report dated 14.02.2025 (Annexure 3) submitted by Revenue Inspector concerned regarding correction in online survey map, expeditiously, preferably within a period of two months or as stipulated by this Hon'ble Court;" It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that an application dated 23.01.2025 is pending consideration before respondent no.2- Sub Divisional Magistrate, Tehsil- Gola, District- Gorakhpur. The sole prayer made in the writ petition is to expedite the aforesaid application. As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, the writ petition is being disposed of, at the admission stage, without calling for counter affidavit, with a direction upon respondent no.2- Sub Divisional Magistrate, Tehsil- Gola, District- Gorakhpur to decide application dated 23.01.2025, in accordance with law, after hearing all affected parties, preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. With the aforesaid direction, present writ petition stands disposed of. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the case on merit.
