There is further direction sought to club the posts of Photostat Assistants with the Junior Assistants, so that they can get further promotional avenues. As per reply affidavit filed by the High Court, the matter has been taken up with the Government, however, the response from the Government is awaited. It has been brought to our notice that during the pendency of this petition, the petitioner stands superannuated. If that be the position, the reliefs claimed in the writ petition, even if accepted to be tenable in law, cannot be granted. This petition has, for all practical purposes, rendered infructuous.
