JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned High Court Government Pleader is directed to take notice for the respondents. 2. The prayer in the writ petition is to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent-Tahsildar to consider the representations dated 03.01.2008, 10.08.2010 and 31.07.2025 given by the petitioner at Annexures ‘A’, ‘A1’ and ‘A2’. 3. It is the contention of the petitioner that 2 Acres of land in Sy.No.63 of Bathiganahalli Village, Sulibele Hobli, Hosakote Taluk, Bengaluru Rural District, was granted to the petitioner by the ‘Committee for Regularization of Unauthorized Occupation’ in the year 2003 and Grant Certificate was also issued in favour of the petitioner in the year 2007. However, the name of the petitioner is not entered in the revenue records. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:33341 WP No. 26030 of 2025 Therefore, a direction is sought to the Tahsildar to enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records. 4. Having regard to the prayer made in the writ petition and submissions of the learned Counsel for the petitioner, this Court is of the considered opinion that the 2nd respondent-Tahsildar, Hosakote Taluk, Bengaluru Rural District, is duty bound to consider the representations given by the petitioner and pass necessary orders for entering the name of the petitioner in the land revenue records. Needless to observe that the Tahsildar shall verify the original Grant Register, the Saguvali Chit Issue Register, and other contemporaneous records to find out about the genuineness of the grant made in favour of the petitioner. If it is found that the grant was made in favour of the petitioner, then the Tahsildar shall proceed to enter the name of the petitioner in the land revenue records in accordance with law. 5. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:33341 WP No. 26030 of 2025 two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. With these observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. 7. Learned High Court Government Pleader is permitted to file memo of appearance within a period of four weeks from today.
