For Petitioner : Ms.Meera Gnanasekar For Respondents : Mr.P.Siddarth Standing Counsel ORDER The petitioner, claiming to be a stage carriage operator on Route No.16 between Tiruppur and Kangeyam, has approached this Court seeking a direction to the first respondent to conduct a detailed enquiry and take appropriate action against private bus operators and buses belonging to the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC), which are allegedly operating on the said route without valid permits. 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.32158 of 2025 2. According to the petitioner, he has been granted a valid stage carriage permit to operate on Route No.16. It is his grievance that certain private bus operators, as well as buses belonging to the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, are operating on the said route without valid permits, thereby causing financial loss to him. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation to the first respondent requesting appropriate action against the alleged unauthorized operators. However, the said representation has not been considered till date. 3. Learned Government Counsel, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner’s representation would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed in accordance with law within the time that may be stipulated by this Court. 4. Recording the said submission, this writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 30.01.2025 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as all 3/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.32158 of 2025 persons likely to be affected, including the operators against whom allegations have been made.
